Boat
Dunia Baru which means "New World" in Indonesian, this luxurious liveaboard was launched in 2014. It measuring 51 meters long, and 11 meters wide, with cruising speed at 10 knots per hour. It is the product of passion and expertise from all around the world : designed by an American architect, it was built from Indonesian teak and ironwood by Konjo Boat Builders in Borneo, and its sails were made in Thailand, its rigging is from the United Kingdom and its marine systems are to ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards.
Dunia Baru is consider as the finest vessel in Indonesia. The interior is a masterpiece in carpentry, it will make you feel as comfortable as at home when you are onboard. This amazing vessel is equipped with all of the necessary amenities and features for enjoying its spectacular geography.
The main salon provides a range of entertainment options for guests of all ages, such as a 60-inch LED TV, Marantz AV system with speakers and subwoofers from Boston Acoustics... As well as being designed for simply enjoying time spent with friends and family over a few drinks. Guest may also choose a book from the yacht’s library and stretch out on the sofas, settle for sunbathing on one of the outdoor lounging decks. There is a spacious and furnished area above the bridge deck serves as an observation platform for taking in the oceanic panoramas when on board the vessel.
Dunia Baru boasts an open-air Eat-in dining area which places chefs immediately in front of their guests. Not only does this mean that charterers can watch their meals being prepared, but also frees up more room and dining options both indoors and alfresco. The food will be a highlight of your holiday, and you will not go hungry, the chef - Tom Brett has been working in kitchens since he was 13, works magic with fresh produce that he’s sourced locally and meats that come from Australia.
There are ample lounges and outdoor relaxing areas, including a star-gazing foredeck with beanbags, an expansive shaded lounging area (converted to a cocktail lounge at sundown) and an aft poop-deck sunbathing area.
Dunia Baru also equipped with sonos integrated 14-zone (interior and exterior) music system is set up throughout the ship (operated from a computer server) and there’s touch-screen controlled custom lighting.
Dunia Baru boots all professional dive equipment: 2x Nuvair Air Compressors, 1x Nuvair Nitrox Generator, 36x 80 CU Tanks, 8x Aqua Lung BCD/Regulator Sets, Assortment of Wetsuits, Masks, Fins, 4 tenders boats.
There are many different water toys onboard : 2x 900cc SeaDoo Jet Ski, 3x Sea Kayak, 2x Paddle Boards, Sunfish sailing dinghy, Various water sport equipment including water skis, towables, and fishing gear for guests to use.
Cabin
Dunia Baru has 7 luxurious guest cabins, it can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests per trip.
Each cabin is equipped with an independent air-conditioning system, ensuite bathrrom, mood lighting and a 32-inch LED flat-screen satellite TV with DVD, storage area, European style two-pin round power outlets.
1 Master Suite :
Located on the upper deck, it is the largest cabin onboard, with king-sized bed has a private deck with double daybed and sofas, the cabin has windows all around, affording panoramic views. The ensuite bathroom is very spacious, with his and her sinks and oversized shower.
6 Deluxe Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, all are very roomy, airy and beautiful finished. with one double bed and a sofa bed.
Diving
- 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.
- 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the day of embarkation.

Komodo
The best time of year to sail these waters is between April and November and while Dunia Baru has existing itineraries that you can follow, we can put together an itinerary that will suit your interests and the time you have available. Raja Ampat
Dunia Baru sails around Raja Ampat between November and March, when conditions are best for diving. Although we’ve carefully created itineraries that will maximize guests’ time in the area, our team are happy to advise you and put together an itinerary that meets all of your wishes, and exceeds your expectations.
MALUKU ISLANDS
The Spice Islands, also known as the Malukus, have been described as a hothouse of biodiversity. This archipelago – wedged tightly in a nutcracker of shifting tectonic plates, ominously known as the Maluku Sea Collision Zone – was the only place in the world where nutmeg (a spice which was said to be a cure for the dreaded black plague) grew. Even today the primeval forests and ancient plantations of the Malukus are fragrant with the scent of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and mace.
Cendrawasih
The immense bay of Cendrawasih (which means Bird of Paradise Bay) is tucked into the crook of Bird’s Head Peninsula on the wild north coast of New Guinea Island. Despite being Indonesia’s largest marine national park (14,535 square kilometers) since 2002, this area remains so isolated and wild as to be almost undocumented.
East Nusa Tenggara Islands
An ideal Dunia Baru’s itinerary for this area will be upward of 10 days, incorporating the very best that East Nusa Tenggara offers. There is so much to do here: so much culture, so much wildlife, so much marine diversity. It is one of Indonesia’s most exciting areas when it comes to diversity and, when you sail this province it’s easy to believe you’re in a different world a few times a day.
West Nusa Tenggara Islands
Although the weather in this part of Indonesia is good all year round, the best time to be here is between April to November. The itineraries that we have for West Nusa Tenggara starting at five days, but these can be purely a guide and we can perfectly tailor an itinerary around your wishes if you’d prefer something unique. West Nusa Tenggara is probably everything you dream of for an island holiday: white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, pristine bays, phenomenal diving... and very often, not another soul in sight.
Thailand
Dunia Baru Charters cannot begin and end in Thailand, so the entry or exit point for Thaialnd Charter will be Langkawi, Malaysia. However, Thaialnd and Langkawi are not regular features on Dunia Baru's Calendar, but if you would like to visit this area with Dunia Baru, please let us know, we will speak to the boat and try to make it.
Myanmar
There are very few places in this world that feel truly undiscovered; completely isolated and peaceful. Mergui Archipelago, in southern Myanmar, is one of those places. Underwater, the best conditions in the archipelago for diving are from November until April; whale sharks and manta rays are usually in the area from February until May. Other marine life includes frogfish, grey reef sharks, ribbon eels, cowries, mobula rays, lobsters, ghost pipefish and nurse sharks.
Dunia Baru doesn’t sail regularly to the Mergui Archipelago – but if you’d like to charter the yacht in this fascinating part of the world, please speak to your broker.

Mare di Banda
Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.
The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.
About temperatures
Air : range between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement
Most dive sites are suitable for all levels with a few exceptions that are suitable only for advanced divers. You can find out more informations about diving in Banda Sea here : Banda Sea
Embarkation / Disembarkation
The embarkation / disembarkation can be in Ambon (AMQ), Kaimana (KNG), Maumere (MOF), Sorong (SOQ), Waisai (RJM), Saumalaki (SXK) etc. As some of the Banda Sea trip will combine with other destinations like Raja Ampat, Halmahera, Triton Bay. So please ask our agent to know the exact port for your trip.
Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.
Please note: Immigration officials in Indonesia may ask for proof of onward travel (e.g. a return or onward air ticket).
Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Money Matters
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD.
Rupiah can be purchased from all major banks and exchange outlets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted in major hotels, restaurants & shops.
Drones
There are very few restrictions on the use of drones for photography purposes within Indonesia. Please check Drone laws in Indonesia for details.

Raja Ampat
Periodo : La stagione per le crociere e' tutto l'anno. La migliore stagione e' da dicembre a marzo con la miglior visibilita'. Molte barche evitano Raja Ampat da meta' luglio a meta' settembre a causa della probabilita' di trovare forte vento con onde e pioggia.

Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua e' abbastanza costante e calda tra i 27 e 29 gradi.
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri e che vi protegga dai raggi solari ed una giacca a vento nel caso di pioggia e per la sera.

Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua e' costante tra i 27 e 29 gradi (scende a 25 gradi nello Stretto di Lembeh a luglio/agosto).
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri e che vi protegga dai raggi solari ed una giacca a vento nel caso di pioggia e per la sera.

Voli : L'aeroorto di Manado Sam Ratulangi riceve voli da Singapore (3.5 H). Ci sono anche voli frequenti da Jakarta (3H 15min) e Makassar (1.5 H).

Clima : La stagione asciutta va da novembre a maggio, con i mesi piu' caldi di aprile e maggio. Il monsone umido e' da giugno fino ad ottobre. La temperatura media e' di 28 gradi.
Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua e; dai 27 gradi in su', ma ci sono dei termoclini che la portano a 25 gradi.
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri sono raccomandati tutto l'anno.
Prese : Tipo C, D, F & G ed elettricita' 230 V @ 50Hz
Voli : I voli internazionali arrivano a Yangon da Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore e Cina. In ogni caso i clienti delle crociere devono imbarcarsi a Ranong in Thailandia e passare il confine con il Myanmar. Transfert sono organizzati da Phuket e Khao Lak.
Valuta : La valuta locale e' il Kiat, pronunciato "chut/chat". Gli stranieri devono pagare in US Dollars gli hotel le attrazioni turistiche, biglietti aerei e del treno, invece in valuta Kyat si pagano il cibo, le mance, trishaw...Tutti i pagamenti a bordo sono in USD o Euro.
