Barca
La M/V Mermaid I e' un dive yacht lungo 28 metri ed e' stato costruito per dare il massimo comfort in navigazione ai suoi ospiti, I motori diesel sono due e possono far navigare la barca a 12 nodi, la corrente elettrica a bordo e' di 220 volt.
La M/V Mermaid I puo' ospitare un massimo di 15 subacquei in comfort e privacy.
Il ponte superiore ha un bel salone con aria condizionata, TV/DVD, uno stereo ed un vasto assortimento di film, CD e libri. La zona pranzo offre una splendida vista del mare. A poppa si trovano dei comodi sofà e delle sedie e pure un barbecue.
Il ponte superiore in parte coperto ha dei comodissimi sdrai dove rilassarsi tra le varie immersioni
Il ponte diving e' grande e attrezzata con dei gavoni dove riporre l'attrezzatura sub e i compressori per la ricarica, un tavolo ed una vasca per il risciacquo sono a disposizione delle foto e video camere.
La poppa ha due scalette per la risalita e docce con acqua dolce.

Tutte le cabine hanno bagno privato con doccia calda, aria condizionata, TV/DVD ed un frigo.

Bali-Komodo – Bali – 10 DAYS/ 9 NIGHTS

Day 1 : Check-in on board MV Mermaid I between 13:00-15:00 hours in Benoa Harbour Bali.After the boat and safety briefing, equipment is prepared then settle into your cabin. Dinner is served at approx. 19:00 hours as cruise overnight to Moyo Island off the north west coast of Sumbawa
Day 2 : Start your adventure with a great dive in the calm, clear waters of Angel Reef at Moyo Island. Massive elephant ear and barrel sponges, schools of long fin banner fish and red tooth triggers In their hundreds, frog fish, nudibrancs, eels, surgeon fish, snapper, dog tooth tuna checking out what is for lunch !
Visit the local village then its lunch for us ! Then we cruise to Satonda Island for a macro dive followed by a world class night dive after watching a million bats fly at sunset. After a great dive and dinner we cruise overnight to Sangeang Volcano off the north coast of Sumbawa.
Day 3 : The Nusa Tenggara region has some extremely interesting and unique marine life. Today we spend the day diving around Sangeang Volcano – 2-3 dives for rare nudibrancs, pygmy seahorse, leaf scorpion fish, blue ribbon eels, black sand diving with all its treasures and underwater hot springs that support this very unique marine environment. Night dive here too or head on over to Gili Banta for the chance for Star Gazers and coral cat shark.
Day 4 : Current depending, we start the day at GPS Point Gili Banta famous for its sharks and pelagic fishes. Then we enter the Komodo National Park and for more exhilarating blue water/fish soup diving !Gili Lawalaut has several great dives – if the tide is right we hunt grey reef shark and dolphin at Taka Toko Gili Lawalaut.
Lighthouse Reef and The Old Passage offer fast drifts with pelagics, maybe manta ! Crystal Rock offers awesome soft corals in gold and orange hues plus the chance for sharks, turtles, Giant Maori wrasse, a ‘fish soup” dive. Tonight we dive the famous Pink Beach – spectacular colours and Frogfish, slipper lobster, basket stars, robust sea cucumbers unique to the area plus more !
Day 5 : Start your day with an exciting visit to Loh Liang Komodo National Park to walk with the dragons ! And as we quietly walk through the bush setting look out for Komodo dragons, deer, wild boar and birds. Then relax as we cruise south to dive the Three Sisters or Pillarsteen at Padar Island.
Next stop is a diver’s paradise – Horseshoe Bay Rinja Island – home of one of the top 10 dives in the world- Cannibal Rock – an abundance of corals, sponges, ascidians, sea apples, black corals, turtle, cuttlefish, loadsof reef fishes too ! Here we can also watch dragons scavenging on the beach, monkey, deer, wild pigs along the shore, go beach combing…. Maybe even a chance to follow whales and dolphin feeding in the calm bay. We overnight at this peaceful place, diving at one of the many fabulous spots.
Day 6 : More world class dives today as we relax in Horseshoe Bay Rinja Island – the Yellow Wall of Texas is absolutely stunning covered with enormous yellow soft corals. Go slowly along the wall looking for unique creatures but don’t forget to look out into the blue to see what’s coming by…maybe e make a deep dive to check if the tiny yellow pygmy seahorses are on the giant gorgonians at depth. Nusa Kode offers more walls and critter chances coupled with white tip reef sharks etc ! Torpedo Alley is famous for its “electric” rays and perhaps one of the best night dives of your life for critter fanciers
Day 7 : Today we’ll head on over to Manta Alley to watch in awe as these magnificent creatures feed, play and get cleaned at the many cleaning stations. In the afternoon we can check out more big fish dives maybe at Loh Serah, Tatawa Kecil or the infamous “Current City” Batu Bolong – come face to face with reef sharks, turtles and giant Wrasse. Many good night dives around here – Gili Darat is great for sleeping turtles, colourful reef stonefish, Spanish dancers – calm sea – a good place to sleep.
Day 8 : The diving around Gili Lawalaut, Tatawa Kecil, Gili Darat is so awesome you will all want more so today we make 2-3 dives in clear arm blue waters – loads of fish both big and small. Then we’ll head off for a night dive at either Gili Banta or maybe Batu Putih in Sumbawa – both interesting sites. Overnight we cruise back to Satonda and Sumbawa – solar powered nudibrancs, ghost pipefish anyone ?
Day 9 : We enjoy two good dives around Sumbawa and Moyo Islands – a chance to shoot anything you missed at the trip beginning. Then the crew wash your equipment for you while you relax on the sundeck or downloading your pictures, enjoying our trip video as well just before dinner with all your new friends. Day 10 : After breakfast we transfer you ashore to continue your vacation…or its time to head home to start planning your next Mermaid cruise !

Arcipelago di Alor
Best time for diving
April to November, as this is when both visibility and weather are at their best, while September is the best time to spot Mola Mola. The currents usually are strongest in October and November, making conditions more challenging. From late December until early March, Alor is usually considered as off-season due to the rainy season.
About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 26°C - 29°C, summer months are between 27°C - 32°C.
Sea : between 25°C - 27°C from March to April & October to November, between 27°C - 30°C from May to September. Thermoclines are common year round, the water can drop at times to 22°C or lower.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit. If you get cold easily, we recommend also bring gloves and a hood, or even a 7 mm full wetsuit.
Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels of diver from beginners to experienced. However, in the open blue, the current can be strong at times, so divers should to be comfortable with their skills. Embarkation / Disembarkation
Alor liveaboard trips are usually from Maumere to Maumere, guests need to fly to Maumere airport (MOF).
However, some liveaboards often combine Alor with other destinations like Komodo, Banda Sea, Raja Ampat. Then you might only need to arrive or depart from Maumere.
Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.
Please note: Immigration officials in Indonesia may ask for proof of onward travel (e.g. a return or onward air ticket).
Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Money Matters
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD.
Rupiah can be purchased from all major banks and exchange outlets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted in major hotels, restaurants & shops.
Drones
There are very few restrictions on the use of drones for photography purposes within Indonesia. Please check Drone laws in Indonesia for details.

Bali e Lombok
Periodo : Le crociere sono possibili tutto l'anno, a secondo delle destinazioni il miglior periodo da maggio a settembre e' per Bali mentre da aprile a novembre e' per Lombok.

Abbigliamento: Si consiglia un abbigliamento estivo casual che includa una giacca leggera, dato che le serate possono essere fresche e le barche da crociera di solito mantengono l'aria condizionata in tutte le aree interne.

Clima : Raja Ampat si trova all'equatore ed ha un clima caldo ed umido. La temperatura dell'aria e' costante con 31 gradi di massima il giorno e 24 gradi la notte, l'umidita' media e' dell'83%.
Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua e' abbastanza costante e calda tra i 27 e 29 gradi.
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri e che vi protegga dai raggi solari ed una giacca a vento nel caso di pioggia e per la sera.

Clima : Manado ha un tipico clima equatoriale, la stagione delle piogge va da novembre ad aprile e la stagione asciutta da maggio ad ottobre. La temperatura rimane costante tutto l'anno con una media tra i 23 e 30 gradi.
Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua e' costante tra i 27 e 29 gradi (scende a 25 gradi nello Stretto di Lembeh a luglio/agosto).
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri e che vi protegga dai raggi solari ed una giacca a vento nel caso di pioggia e per la sera.

Halmahera
Best time for diving
October to November and March to May, Halmahera can be dived all year round, but due to the monsoon season, from June to September it can be windy and the sea can be rough. And from December to February is considered as the rainy season.
Visibility is usually very good, ranging from 20-30 meters, Inside the bays the visibility may be less. Currents can be strong in the straits, weak in the areas protected by the islands.

Air : generally ranges between 25°C - 32°C year-round.
Sea : it is warm all year round, about 27°C - 31°C
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement

Embarkation / Disembarkation
Depending on which itinerary you choose, the embarkation / disembarkation can be in Bitung > Manado (MDC), Ternate (TTE), Bacan (LAH/WUB), or Morotai (OTI). The international airport with the best connections is Jakarta (CGK). You can also route through Bali (DPS) if you prefer.
However, some liveaboard trips will combine Halmahera with other destinations like Sulawesi (Lembeh), Raja Ampat, then the embarkation and disembarkation will be different. So please ask our agent to know the exact port for your trip.

Acqua : Temperatura dell'acqua a sud e' di media a 24 gradi mentre a nord e' di 29 gradi.
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri e che vi protegga dai raggi solari ed una giacca per la sera.

Mare di Banda
Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.
The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.

Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.
