Boat

Shenron is a 24m long and 4.5m wide traditional Indonesia wooden sailing ship built in 2017, refitted in 2020, and then the renovation has been made again in 2021. With max cruising speed at 12 knots per hour and 220v electricity on board.

There is ample space for relaxation, a sundeck has comfortable loungers, making it the perfect place to lounge with a book and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

The covered open outdoor lounge/dining area is an ideal place to unwind with a cold drink at the end of the day. Tasty meals of freshly prepared Indonesian and international cuisine is served at the open-air dining area.

Shenron is excellent for people looking for real comfort on a brand new boat, fully equipped with brand new scuba diving equipment. There are 2 speedboats will bring you to the dive sites.

Cabin

Shenron has 3 dorm style guest cabins, it can welcome up to 12 guests:

Each dorm is equipped with fans, storage and windows to feel that cool sea breeze.

Located on the upper deck, this cabin comes with four single beds in bunk style, windows.

Located on the main deck, this cabin comes with four single beds in bunk style, windows.

1 Dorm Cabin:
Located on the lower deck, this cabin comes with four double bed in dorm style, separate by privacy curtains, portholes.

2 shared bathrooms:
Located on the deck, with toilet and freshwater.

Diving

• 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.

You have the opportunity to sail through remote areas of Komodo National Park and discover the legendary Komodo Dragons.

From November to March , you will sail accross the South Komodo area. The further South of the Komodo National Park the water temperature will drop between 18° to 24°C. Padar island has some beautiful sites where we can start to feel the influence of the Indian Ocean and the difference of temperature.

From April to October, we will offer you the best dives in Central & North Komodo National Park. In the North of Komodo National Park the water temperature is usually nice and warm from the Flores Sea (27°-29°C). There is an abundance of fish near pinnacles where you can spot schooling surgeons, big eye jacks, snapper, barracudas and some pelagics.

Komodo North & Central | 5D/4N

On this trip, the most booked, you will enjoy all the best dive sites of Central & North Komodo. You will do some of the best dive site without any daily boat around as you will be the first one. Early dive lets you discover the best of Komodo Water and chilled on the deck.

Day 1: Departure from Labuan Bajo around 8/9.00 Am, 2 dives & 1-night dive

Day 2: 3 Dives in Central Komodo and night in Padar

Day 3: Trekking on Padar Island and 2 Dives around Padar (following weather conditions), 2 dives on Central + 1 Night Dive

Day 4: 3 dives around North Komodo, Trekking on Padar.

Day 5: 3 Dives in Central Komodo Return to Labuan Bajo around 5/6.00 PM

Komodo South | 5D/4N

On this trip, we will visit the dive sites in the south part of Komodo National Park, which are only accessible by liveaboard due to their remote location. We will dive at South Rinca, Nusa Kode, Padar, and South Komodo Island. Apart from diving some of the most amazing scuba diving spots in Komodo.

This program includes a small hike on the famous Padar Island for a stunning view over the landscape. You will also spot from our speed boat the famous Komodo Dragons in the wild near Nusa Kode.

The program below of this liveaboard is not fixed since it depends heavily on current and weather conditions. Planning & Dive sites will be determined by the crew during the trip based on tides, current, sea- and weather conditions.

The following program is an example how a south trip could be composed.

Day 1: Departure from Labuan Bajo around 8/9.00 Am, 2 dives & 1 night dive

Day 2: 3 Dives in South Rinca

Day 3: Cruise to South Komodo (following meteo), 1 or 2 dives on Manta Alley + 1 Night Dive

Day 4: 1 dive around South Komodo, 2 Dives in Padar (ex: Three Sisters, Pilaarsteen (Stone Pillar), Secret Garden), Trekking on Padar.

Day 5: 1 Dive in Padar Padar, 2 dives in Central Komodo (ex: Batu Bolong & Siaba Kecil) Return to Labuan Bajo around 5/6.00 PM.
