Barca

Galatea e' uno schooner in acciaio lungo 30 metri e largo 6, costruito nel 1987 a Bodrum in Turchia. Nel 2010 questa barca fu comprata dal centro immersioni Blue Sea Divers, una squadra di subacquei professionisti che operano alle Seichelles dal 2002 e che hanno realizzato il loro sogno trasferendosi dall'Europa ai Tropici.

Galatea e' stata completamente rinnovata tra il 2012 e 2013, l'armatore ha messo tutta la sua esperienza per renderla comoda e fuzionale per i sub. Galatea e' diventata operativa nell'estate del 2013 con la sua nuova veste di barca elegante e lussuosa.

Galatea offre un accogliente salone con televisione, lettore DVD e stereo. La zona pranzo si trova all'aperto ed ha una un tavolo che puo' ospitare comodamente tutti i 12 clienti. Ci sono 2 bar, uno interno ed uno esterno, pronti ad offrire ottimi cocktail. Un grazioso solarium si trova a prua ed e' dotato di materassini per rilassarsi o fare un sonnellino tra una immersione e l'altra.

Galatea offre la possibilita' di essere affittata per un gruppo di amici o per un centro immersioni che puo' beneficiare dei servizi di una sorta di villa galleggiante abilitata a navigare nei migliori e piu' remoti sii delle Seychelles. La barca e' in grado di personalizzare in base alle esigenze del cliente ogni aspetto della crociera.

Galatea e' lo yacht ideale per lune di miele, famiglie con bambini, un gruppo di amici o chi desidera una vacanza nel segno del lusso e del relax completo.

Galatea ha 7 comode cabine e puo' ospitare un massimo di 12 passeggeri.

Tutte le cabine hanno bagno privato con doccia calda, aria condizionata ed armadio.

ITINERARY “EXPLORER” – 7 NIGHTS CRUISE

DAY 1
Arrival from International Airports and transfer on board Galatea Liveaboard. Meet the Captain and the crew and departure toward North Mahé. First dive at the north east tip of Beau Vallon Bay. This small granite island called ILOT is home of two coconut palms and an amazing marine life. Continue sailing toward the bay of Beau Vallon in time for a beautiful sunset on Galatea spacious deck. Dinner and overnight lulled by the calm, clear water of this magnificent bay.

DAY 2
After a morning breakfast overlooking the famous Beau Vallon Beach we sail to LIGHTHOUSE dive site for your first dive of the day. A large dramatic granite boulders and massifs with hard coral formations dropping to sand at 28-30 meters. Back on board to reach Cap Ternay Marine Park for second dive. An easy dive with probably the best hard coral formations around Mahé. Lunch on board. Afternoon dedicated to relax, snorkel and other beach activities at Anse au Riz. Dinner and overnight at Marine Park.

DAY 3 Early departure toward the famous dive site of SHARKS BANK, located between Mahé Island and Silhouette Island. Scenery dotted with huge granite blocks on a granite plateau. Second dive “Brissare Rock”, located between the granitic islands of Mahe and Praslin with its enviable reputation for marine life. Arrive at La Digue Island late in the afternoon and time at leisure on board. Dinner and overnight La Digue.

DAY 4 Morning dedicated to the visit of La Digue Island where time stands still and time-honored traditions such as traveling by ox-cart and bicycle are still king. Traditional architecture and breathtaking beaches, such as the legendary Anse Sourse D’Argent are an absolute must for visitors. Return on board for lunch and sail to the southern tip of Marianne island dive site : pinnacle-shaped rocks form the wall and pillars of an underwater maze that attracts grey reef sharks often seen.

DAY 5
Morning sail toward Grande Soeur and Petite Soeur Islands to reach the dive sites of “Sister Bank” and “Coco Island” before continuing our navigation toward the island of Praslin. Praslin is home of the famous UNESCO world heritage Site, the Vallée de Mai which has preserved its original state and you will discover the exceptional flora and fauna of this timeless site. After the visit, time for a sunset walk on Cote D’Or Beach before returning on board for dinner and overnight in the lagoon.

DAY 6 Morning sailing to the dive site « Ave Maria » located off Praslin. Its huge boulders surround the small island and drop down in dramatic vertical walls and swim-throughs. The second dive site, “White Bank” is located in the vicinity. Heading later to Curieuse Island for a BBQ on the beach. Sail back to Praslin at Baie Chevalier and time to relax at Anse Lazio beach.

DAY 7
Early morning departure toward Mahé Island. Lunch on board and time at leisure in the afternoon for the visit of Victoria, capital of Seychelles. Dinner and overnight in Marine Park of St Anne or Angel Fish Marina.

DAY 8
Early morning disembarkation.
During the cruise, you can perform additional dives including night dives which are payable on site. Extra dives can be provided according to the weather conditions and in accordance with the supervisory staff of “Diving Cruises”.

Galatea reserves the right to change the itinerary during a trip for any reason it deems necessary (i.e. due to sea and weather conditions, or in the event that the captain feels the safety of the ship and/or guests are in jeopardy).
