Aqua Cat e' un catamarano a motore lungo 35 metri e puo' navigare ad una velocita' di 14 nodi che permette di raggiungere i siti piu' remoti in maniera rapida.

Sul ponte principale c'e' un enorme salone con zona pranzo, ci sono poltrone, sedie e tavoli, TV/DVD, una stazione di lavoro per vedere le foto, una boutique dove comprare diversi souvenir da portare a casa. Sempre sul ponte principale c'e' una zona all'aperto coperta dove ci sono tavoli e sedie, una postazione per fare le grigliate ed mache dove rilassarsi tra una immersione e l'altra.

Per chi ama il sole c'e' un sun deck con 10 sraie, una zona bar con soft drinks, birra alla spina, macchina per il ghiaccio e sgabelli. L'equipaggio sara' lieto di farvi degli ottimi cocktails a fine giornata che si potranno gustare di fronte ad un caldo tramonto tropicale.

Sul ponte diving c'e' spazio in abbondanza per tutti i sub, si trova una zona con tavolo e scaffali, corrente 110 e 220 volt per caricare le batterie. Per salire ci sono delle comode scale e delle docce da usare dopo le immersioni o per rinfrescarsi.

Cabine

Aqua Cat ha 11 cabine di diverse tipologie, tra cui cabine triple e quadruple, in tutto puo' ospitare da 22 a 30 passeggeri. Tutte la cabina hanno bagno privato, asciugacapelli, aria condizionata e le cabine di babordo e dritta hanno 2 finestre panoramiche.

Cabine Quadruple 1,2,3 & 4: 4 letti a castello, ottime per famiglie o piccoli gruppi di amici.

Cabine Matrimoniale/Doppie 5,6,7 & 8: 1 letto matrimoniale o 2 singoli.

Cabine triple 9 & 10 1 letto matrimoniale e due a castello.

Cabina doppia 11: 2 letti a castello.

Sample Itinerary

Itineraries are weather dependent and tailored to best diving available each trip.

Day 1 - Saturday:
6:00pm board. Check in, dinner, unpack, orientation and safety briefing.

Day 2 - Sunday:
Depart before first light; offering 4 daytime dives and 1 night dive today.

Day 3 to Day 5 - Monday through Wednesday:
4 daytime dives and 1 night dive per day/night in the Exuma Cays and/or Eleuthera. Shore excursions are offered daily.

Day 6 - Thursday:
4 daytime dives Captain’s Dinner with photo and video presentations; awards presented during dessert.

Day 7 - Friday:
2 daytime dives.
Return to Nassau 2:00-5:00pm depending on weather and travel distance.
6:00pm Farewell Cocktail Party.
Port night in Nassau! Dinner on your own. The evening is yours to enjoy in Nassau.

Day 8 - Saturday:
Disembark vessel by 9:00am.

Aqua Cat departs Nassau on a course for the Exuma Cays. We plan our week as we go so we can offer you the best diving conditions based on the weather. We’ll explore the northern Exumas and south end of Eleuthera most weeks. On a daily basis, the itinerary includes up to 5 dives per day and eco adventures like snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and stand up paddle boarding. Along the way so you can experience the wonderful Central Bahamas above and below the waterline.

The Exuma Cays offers many opportunities to go ashore and explore and enjoy the uninhabited beaches. For these occasions, we highly recommend proper footwear for these eco adventures. Flip flops are not always suitable. We suggest water shoes or TEVA type sandals. Sneakers are fine but they might get wet!

Bahamas Ground Transfers: You can take a taxi which will cost $35.00 to $40.00 or we can arrange transfers. For each pick-up, the cost is $18.00 per person one-way. You can book transfers by going to Ground Transfers. If you book transfers, you will find Mr Wright just outside the airport (by the railing). He will be holding a sign with the boat name on it. If you don’t see Mr. Wright immediately, ask anyone to point him out for you or you can reach him at 242.449.7862. Be sure to double check that you are on the right bus/van! No credit for missed transfers.

Boarding & Disembark Time: For flight planning, boarding is at 6:00pm on Saturday. We offer a welcome orientation, dinner and an important safety briefing immediately afterwards. It is important that you attend this informative meeting! Please plan your flights accordingly. If you are arriving earlier in the day, you may drop bags off at the boat prior to boarding. The Aqua Cat will depart Nassau early Sunday morning for the Exuma Cays – usually before 5:00am.

The Aqua Cat returns to Nassau the following Friday afternoon. Dinner ashore in Nassau is on your own Friday evening. All passengers must disembark on Saturday by 9:00am. You may leave your bags at the boat if you have a late afternoon flight and are welcome to use the showers and restroom on the dive deck.

Diving Guides: In general all the divings are not guided dives in the Exuma Itinerary. All divings are self-guided. Most buddy teams choose to dive on their own. The instructors/divemasters on board will give you a good in-depth briefing before each dive describing the topography, conditions, the current (if any), depth and it will include a visual aid. If you would like navigational assistance, please advise the instructor that you would like to follow him/her prior to the dive.

Side Mount & Rebreather: Side mount diving is possible as each guest is assigned a dive position that holds two tanks. You can dive either single side mount or double side mount.

We can provide you with a cylinder of oxygen with prior arrangements. However, you must bring everything you need to fill your rebreather as we cannot supply it for you. The cylinder of O2 is $80.00 dollars and there is no credit for unused gas.
