Boat

Socorro Aggressor is a standard diving safari liveaboard, built for divers and was built based on years of diving experience. It measures 40 meters long and 8 meters wide, with powerful diesel engines that allowed it to cruise at 10 knots per hour, it have 220v power onboard.

This beautiful diving safari liveaboard was originally operated in Egypt, and in August 2018, after fully refurbishment, it will start its new expedition in the water of Mexico!

Socorro Aggressor has an spacious indoor lounge on the upper deck which is air-conditioned and well equipped with an LCD TV, VCR, DVD, CD player, bar and furnished according to European style. There is also an Arabian style lounge next to the European lounge where guest can relax with a drink and music.

On the main deck, there is a large dining area where guests can enjoy palatable meals three times a day, and there is always cookies, homemade cakes, snacks, coffee, tea, hot chococlate etc. available for a bite.

There are selection beverages includes fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, iced tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine, which are complimentary. We suggest you purchase your favorite liquor from the duty free shop before arrival. Drinking and diving do not mix. Once you consume alcohol, you become a snorkeler until the next day.

Socorro Aggressor offers many outdoor areas : The top sundeck is about 100sqm in size, provides plenty of space for sun seekers, as well as shaded area. Comfortable deck chairs and cushioned seats make time more pleasant. There is also a smaller sun deck in front of the captain’s bridge on the upper deck. Plus a covered deck on the back of the upper deck with sofa for resting and chatting between dives and in the evening.

The large dive deck and dive platform area ensures more-than-adequate space for divers preparing for their dives. There are 2 hand-held showers on the platform allow for a rinse after diving. A bathroom with shower and marine head leads directly off the dive deck.


Cabin

Socorro Aggressor has 13 guest cabins, it can welcome 26 guests per trip.

All cabins are air-conditioned and have ensuite bathroom, outlets, storage area.

1 Master Cabin (#9) :
Located on the main deck, this cabin is the largest cabin onboard, with a king size double bed, seaview windows.

4 Deluxe Cabins (#10 - 13) :
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, seaview windows.

8 Deluxe Cabins (#1 - 8) :
Locatd on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, portholes.


Diving

  • Socorro itinerary: 3 – 4 dives daily, between 16 – 22 per trip

  • Guadalupe itinerary: 3 days of unlimited time for observation.

  • All divers must have a submersible console (SMB) for diving.

  • No dive on the embarkation and disembarkation day.

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

  • Both divers and non-divers are welcome for Guadalupe trips.

  • Divers must reach AOW with at least 60 logged dives for Socorro.

Itinerari (V.O)

Socorro Island | 9D/8N

From January through March these islands are home to a migratory population of humpback whales that come to breed and have calves. Whale sharks are seen mainly in April/May and November/December. Divers may also observe many different behaviors of manta at cleaning stations, Bottlenose dolphin, wahoo, tuna, marlin and smaller creatures like eels, nudibranchs and octopi.

The averagewater temperature: 73-76°F, 21-23°C. 5-7mm wetsuit is recommended year round.

Day 0: Guest arrival to Cabo San Lucas (airport code : SJD), spend the night at Hotel Tesoro (host hotel) - Arrangements on your own.

Day 1 - Pick up from Hotel Tesoro in Cabo San Lucas for transfer from 9 - 930 am to the yacht. The travel time is 24-27 hrs.

Day 2 - Arrive to Socorro around 10 am, 2-3 dives, San Benedicto Island

Day 3 - Up to 4 dives, Socorro Island or San Benedicto Island.

Day 4 - Up to 4 dives, Roca Partida

Day 5 - Up to 4 dives, Roca Partida

Day 6 - Up to 4 dives, Socorro Island

Day 7 - Up to 4 dives, San Benedicto, then yacht departs that evening and travels back

Day 8 - Arrival at approximately 8 pm, overnight aboard, guests can visit Cabo during the evening, having party nearby.

Day 9 - 8 am - after breakfast the shuttle will transfer all guests to the San Jose del Cabo Airport.


Guadalupe Island - 6D/5N

The cage diving charters rotate guests in and out of the shark cages throughout the day. Once you arrive to Guadalupe island, you will receive a safety dive briefing and will get familiar with the shark cages. Unlimited diving is provided when using the surface cages and at least three dives to those using the submersible cages. Once cage diving closes for the night, guests will enjoy the beautiful sunsets and cocktail hour on the sundeck before dinner.

The average water temperature is 69°F, 21°C. Equipment needed is a mask, booties, gloves, hood and a 5-7 mm wetsuit.

Day 1 - 7 am pick up from San Diego, California Holiday Inn Express Old Town (Airport), 8 am pick up from Tijuana, Mexico at the Hotel Palacio Azteca and 11 am from the Ensenada, Mexico International Terminal for transfer to the yacht to board at 11 am.

Day 2, 3, 4 - Cage diving from 8 am to 5 pm.

Day 5 - Cage diving from 8 am to 1:30 –2:00 pm and a 2:30 pm departure back to Ensenada.

Day 6 - Disembark to arrive at 12 pm at Ensenada International Terminal, 6 pm to the Tijuana, Mexico Airport (TIJ) and 8 pm to the San Diego International Airport (SAN).
