Similan Explorer e' una barca da crociera che offre un buon rapporto qualita'-prezzo per una crociera alle Isole Similan in Thailandia, l'itinerario di 4 giorni / 4 notti include Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock e le Isole Surin dove puo' essere fatta una visita al villaggio dei Moken, zingari del mare.

Similan Explorer offre prezzi bassi, ma buoni standard, l'attrezzatura sub completa e' inclusa nel prezzo. Presenti una televisione per vedere i video fatti sott'acqua o per vedere un film ed anche uno stereo per la musica.

Il ponte principale e' la sala da pranzo all'aperto coperta da un tendalino, qui ci sono sempre a disposizione dei clienti caffe', te', toast, acqua e frutta.

La sala consiste in 3 tavoli con panche dove si puo' mangiare in comodita' oppure farce quattro chiacchiere con vecchi e nuovi amici, i lati sono aperti e quindi si puo' godere del vento e della brezza del mare, in caso di pioggia ci sono delle tende per chiudere.

Similan Explorer offre una colazione con pane, uova, salsicce, corn flakes, muesli, frutta e caffe'. Il pranzo e la colazione sono servite a buffet e sono piatti tradizionali tailandesi, coloro che desiderano una dieta particolare possono fare una richiesta in anticipo al momento della prenotazione.

La poppa e' adibita alla immersioni e ci sono le ceste per mettere le attrezzature, le bombole, i pesi ed i compressori per la ricarica, vasche per il risciacquo ed adattatori per gli attacchi DIN.

Cabine

Similan Explorer ha 8 cabine ed ospita un massimo di 20 passeggeri.

Tutte le cabine hanno aria condizionata, finestra panoramica, prese di corrente a 220 v tutte condividono 3 bagni con doccia calda.

2 Cabine matrimoniali: 1 letto matrimoniale ed ubicate sul ponte superioe.

4 Cabine doppie: 2 letti singoli a castello ed ubicate sul ponte principale.

2 Cabine quadruple: 4 letti singoli a castello ed ubicate sul ponte principale.

Immersioni

• 18 immersioni dipende dalla rotta e dalla condizioni meteo.

• Nessuna immersione il giorno dell'arrivo.

• 2 immersioni il giorno della partenza.

Quick info

• Please arrive at Phuket Airport by 1.30pm on day of liveaboard departure. It takes one hour to travel from Phuket Airport to Khao Lak by taxi.

• Phuket Airport/Phuket to Khao Lak transportation is NOT included. A taxi costs 1600 Thai Baht from Phuket Airport to Khao Lak. It can be up to 2500 Thai Baht from a Phuket hotel.

• Khao Lak is a small town about one hour’s drive up the coast from Phuket. It’s a very chilled out town with several bars and restaurants, a good range of hotels for all budgets, and a nice beach. Gustes MUST be in Khao Lak by 3PM AT THE LATEST. We need to fit you with your scuba gear.

• Transport from Khao Lak to the liveaboard departs at 4pm. Boarding the Similan Explorer around 4:30pm.

The Similan Islands Itinerary (5 Days/5 Nights - 18 Dives)

Diving begins first thing in the morning, with 4 dives on the first four days and then 2 dives on the 5th day.

Similan Explorer will do all the major dive sites the Similan Marine National Park Islands has to offer and more. After the Similan Islands, we head north to Koh Bon, an island famous for sightings of manta rays.

From Koh Bon, we head north west to Koh Tachai, one of Thailand’s best dive sites. After a fantastic dive at Koh Tachai we travel to the famous Richelieu Rock, a unique ocean haven for marine life and widely regarded as Thailand’s best dive site.

Day 0, Night 1:
Arrive in Khao Lak, get fitted for scuba gear and complete paperwork.
Transfer from Khao Lak to Similan Explorer Liveaboard. After dinner on board the boat, travel overnight to the Similan Islands.

Day 1:
Four dives around the Similan Islands including a night dive.
Guests can visit the islands for an hour or two between dives for some sightseeing.
The fourth dive could be a night dive in Honeymoon Bay.

Day 2:
Another day of great diving in the Similans.

Day 3:
Four dives at Koh Bon looking for Giant Manta Rays, and also diving at Koh Tachai.

Day 4:
Diving at Richelieu Rock and the Surin Islands, where guests can visit the islands between dives.

Day 5:
More diving in the Surin Islands, finish last dive around 12－1pm and then heading back to the mainland. Guests should be returns to Khao Lak approx 5pm.
From there the crew can help guests arrange transfers to hotel or next destination.

The daily Schedule

1st Day : wake up call @ 6am. You receive a light breakfast, fresh coffee & some toast and fresh fruits. For after your dive you can order, boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelet, pancakes, French toast, sausages and ham. We also serve German brown bread, muesli, corn flakes, oats, and lots of fresh fruits always on the table: water melon, banana’s, pineapples, oranges. Electrolyte drinks are free for you to drink at any time during the safari this helps to prevent dehydration. You will receive a Dive site and Dive Safety briefing before every dive. All dives are Multi level dives. and each diver must dive with a buddy. All of our dive guides have computers and are experienced with all the dive sites so if you have any special requests e.g. Sea Horse, Ghost pipe fish, nudibranchs, this is the team who can find them for you. Our guides speak all major European languages.

1st dive 7am The first dive is what we call a check dive, we can check how the air consumption is of the divers and put them in the groups of the same air consumption if they wish. Dive time is 55 min, then we do a 5 min safety stop. With most of the dives you are picked up by the liveaboard or our dingy this makes for easy stress free diving. Small dive group size: 1 guide to 4 divers.

After breakfast you have 3hrs in-between dives. You can go to the beach with our dinghy and take a walk on deserted beaches or trek some of the jungle trails, snorkel the reefs, cool off in your A/C cabin or just relax on the boat with the new friends you made on this fantastic diving safari. Fish books are on board for you to read.

2nd Dive 11am. After your second dive lunch is served at 1pm. The afternoon can be spend visiting the islands or just relaxing on board the M/V Similan Explorer.

3rd Dive 3pm. After your dive snacks, fruits & drinks are available until your night dive. Snorkeling, swimming, or visit the beach. Dinner is around 6pm.

4th Dive 7pm. The night dive or a dusk dive.
