Descrizione

Boat

Nautilus Under Sea was belongs to the Undersea Hunter Group and operates in the Cocos Island in Costa Rica before, recently it has been bought by the Nautilus Fleet, after a completely refurbished in 2016 with a modern interior and new layout, it began his new adventure from October 2016 in the sea of Mexico.

Nautilus Under Sea size 28 meters in length and 8 meters in beam, cruise at maximum 10 knots. It was originally a research vessel, built in Florida in 1968 for Perry Oceanographic, it also used for 20 years as a submarine support vessel. It has completed hundreds of research and photographic missions, it even participated as support vessel for the James Bond movie "License to Kill".

On the main deck, there are the lounge/dining area, with comfortable couches surrounded by windows as well, a multi-system television, VCR, CD stereo and slide projector, DVD player and Multimedia Sony VAIO Laptop Computer, library and an indoor bar.

The meals onboard are varied, abundant and nutritionally well-balanced. There are fresh tropical fruits, salads, fish, chicken, beef, and much much more, all prepared in a variety of ways. One night during the cruise, the chefs even will prepare BBQ dinner.

The large dive deck is located on the back of the main deck, it is spacious and well equipped with individual personal gear storages and an in-place fill station, a camera table, large rinse tanks, and hot/cold freshwater showers, and after each dive, the crew will greet you with a warm towel.

For photographers there is a large deck-mountable Pro-Lab consisting of a 10 ft. x 10 ft. self-contained specialised movie / video camera workstation and dedicated work tools.

Nautilus Under Sea also have a large sundeck with plenty of room & chaise longues to relax, view the scenery, read a book or chat with new friends. And there is a hot tub (Jacuzzi) with fresh sparkling clear water for guest have a relaxing afternoon soak or a glass of wine or frosty cerveza under the evening stars.


Cabin

Nautilus Under Sea has 8 comfortable cabins in total, it can accommodate up to 18 guests per trip:

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, windows and/or portholes, and all rooms offer store area.

1 Premium Suite :
Located on the upper deck, it includes a queen sized double bed (cannot be converted into 2 beds), windows, hanging closet with shelves, and private washroom with shower.

1 Quad Staterooms :
Located on the main deck, with four single beds (two by two in bunk style) , storage spaces, and private washroom with shower. The cabins can accommodate up to 4 guests each trip.

1 Standard Stateroom :
Located on the lower deck, comes with 2 single bed (bunk style), storage spaces, and private washroom with shower.

5 Superior Suites :
Located on the lower deck, each comes with one double bed and one single bed (bunk style), storage spaces, and private washroom with shower.


Diving

  • Socorro Route : 3 to 4 dives per day, depending on sea conditions

  • Guadalupe Route : Unlimited cage dives

  • No dive provided on the day of arrival & departure

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive

  • All divers must have a submersible console (SMB)

Boarding Time:
8:00PM, meet at the meeting point from 7pm.
Meeting point:
Hotel El Ganzo - San José del Cabo (Blvd. Tiburón s/n La Playita, 23403 San José del Cabo, B.C.S., Mexico).

It will be really difficult to get to the boat by yourself, so please be at the meeting point on time.

Please tell Hotel El Ganzo Concierge that you are a "Nautilus Guest", a uniformed crew will be at the hotel after 6PM to assist you.

The Hotel El Ganzo is 15-20 minutes from SJD airport. For transportation service, you can contact our agent to book for you at an extra rate.

Disembarkation: 08:30AM, at Hotel El Ganzo - San José del Cabo Marina.
If you plan to fly out on the same day of disembarkation, we recommend booking a flight no earlier than 12:00PM.

Socorro Expeditions - 9 days Sample Itinerary

Day 1 : Enjoy sunset at Hotel El Ganzo before you board at 8PM.

Day 2 : At the sea, evening arrival at San Benedicto Island.
Activities: Safety briefing, diver orientation.

Day 3 : Diving in San Benedicto, it is home to the friendliest giant mantas in the world!
Activities: Our famous Mexico taco fiesta on the upper deck.

Day 4 : Diving at Socorro Island, Whale watching during the Humpback Whale season (Jan - April).
Activities: Shark behaviour

Day 5 : Diving at Socorro Island, night snorkel with group of silky sharks.
Activities: Manta ID

Day 6 : Diving at Roca Partida Island.
Activities: Watching silky sharks under flood lights.

Day 7 : Diving at Roca Partida Island.
Activities: Chase the Ace: win the jackpot and help conservation.

Day 8 : Steam home, make our way back to San José del Cabo.
Activities: Ship shop, trip slide show and cocktail party with friends.

Day 9 : Disembarkation at 08:30AM.


Guadalupe Island great white sharks - 6D/5N

Meeting Time - A:
Before 7:00PM, the coach leaves at 7:30PM for 2 hours transfer to the vessel.
Meeting point - A:
Ramada Inn San Diego (1403 Rosecrans St. San Diego, CA 92106, USA)
We highly recommend you arrive at Ramada Inn San Diego approximately 5 - 6PM on the day of check-in.

Meeting Time - B: Available from 9:30PM - 10:00PM
Meeting point - B: Ensenada (Marine dock near Corona Hotel)
If you fly to Tijuana, Once you have collected your luggage, go outside arrivals and look for the red express bus to Ensenada. This runs approximately every hour and travel time is about 1 hour 20 minutes. The Corona Hotel is the property we recommend in Ensenada and is located at the top of the dock that the Nautilus Belle Amie will be berthed at.

Disembarkation / Drop Off: Approximately 6:00PM back to Ramada Inn San Diego / Lindbergh Field (Airport).
- The ship will berth in Ensenada, Mexico at approximately 1:30PM on the last day of your trip.
- You will then be transferred by coach to your choice of Lindbergh Field (San Diego International Airport) or the Ramada Inn San Diego.

Guadalupe Expeditions - 6 days Sample Itinerary

Day 1 : Meet in San Diego at 19:00, travel by coach across the border to the ship in Ensenada, get settled onboard.

Day 2 : At the sea, on route to Guadalupe Island.
Activities: Safety briefing, diver orientation, enjoy the journey.

Day 3 : Cage Diving in Guadalupe Island with Great White Sharks.
Activities: Amazing shark behaviour, wine & cheese party.

Day 4 : Cage Diving in Guadalupe Island with Great White Sharks.
Activities: Watch shark actions, outdoor movie night under the stars.

Day 5 : Cage Diving in Guadalupe Island with Great White Sharks.
Activities: More great white shark diving, trip trivia, start journey home.

Day 6 : Disembarkation, then take highway coach back to San Diego.

Clima : La temperatura media va dai 16 ai 36 gradi durante la stagione dello Squalo Bianco.

Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua va dai 18 ai 21 gradi.

Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri sono raccomandati durante il giorno mentre la notte bisogna avere vestiti caldi per proteggersi dal freddo.
