Itinerari (V.O)

Lady Denok offers 8 to 12 days itineraries in Raja Ampat, Komodo island and Banda Sea. They are the most extraordinary diving destinations in Indonesia. The experienced dive pros will customize each dive to ensure the best dive experience and all dives will be timed to see the most abundant marine life for each season. Cave diving, wreck diving, shark diving, manta diving, whaleshark diving, drift and muck diving will take place at sites such as Komodo, Flores, Forgotten Island, Raja Ampat, and Wakatobi.

Raja Ampat will feature soft corals and sea fans. Divers will be amazed at the abundant hard corals, seagrass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs, drop offs, caves, and black sand. Then there is the abundance of fish in more shapes and sizes than anywhere else on earth. All the levels of the food chain are represented here from pygmy seahorses to the large pelagics. In contrast, the marine life in this area will reveal mantas, sharks, turtles, dolphins, and the rare dugong. From the long list of pelagics, to the tiny pygmy seahorses, nudibranch, and frog fish, this dive area can only be described as fish soup. The sites vary from gentle easy coral slopes to sheer cliff walls, pinnacles, channels, sandy flat bottoms, underwater plateaus, and slopes all with varying colors, sizes and types of both hard and soft corals.

The liveaboard Lady Denok’s stops will also include shore excursions to Komodo National Park with its Komodo dragons and ancient volcanoes. Variety is the spice of diving and Lady Denok has many world class dive sites to visit, many of which are completely unspoiled. These sites offers pristine coral gardens, overhangs and caves, myriads of fish like Giant Groupers, Manta Rays and many varieties of sharks. Some of the dives may have strong currents so it is recommended divers have experience for these dives, althought beginners divers and snorkels are welcome as well, the instructors on board will divide the groups in different levels so everyone can dive every where.

Cold water passes through narrow straits between the islands causing strong currents but also brining in the best marine life completing the ultimate dive safari vacation.

ULTIMATE RAJA - 11D/10N

This is truly the only way to fully take in Raja Ampat, from north to south.

Embarking from Sorong / Waisai, we cruise to BATANTA, where we will take in the fabulous muck diving that the area has to offer, at sites such as ‘Diversity’ and ‘Reflections’. From there, we sail south to MISOOL, where the breathtaking underwater experience will leave you wanting more. Here we will be visiting must see sites like ‘Candy Store’, and the world famous ‘Boo Islands’. After several days exploring the south, we set our compass heading to north again, overnighting to the Fam Islands. Here we have the opportunity to dive such legendary sites as ‘Melissa’s garden’ and ‘Harto’, amongst others. Onwards, north again, heading to Kawe Island, where we encounter some of the big stuff at sites like ‘Eagle Rock’, and the site we like to call ‘Changgo’ (Do it again)! Our last foray north takes us to Wayag, famous for both it’s awe-inspiring limestone cliffs above sea level, and its underwater topography, that drops down to create mind blowing dive sites such as ‘Cathedral’.

Time now for a U-turn, as we head to the Island of GAM. At Gam we are lucky enough to have a dive site named ‘The Passage’, if you don’t know about the passage, please check our dive site description, just make sure your camera batteries are charged for this one. On the last leg of our tour, we head south east, to the world renowned ‘Dampier straight’. The stretch lying between Batanta and Gam is the perfect end to any dive holiday. Here we’ll visit two standalone dive sites, each of their names starting with the word ‘Manta’. This should give you a large clue as to what you just got yourself in to. To top it all off, we spend another day diving the fabled ‘Cape Kri and ‘Sardine’ dive sites.

KOMODO - 6D/5N & 8D/7N

Komodo Jurassic Explorer approximate number of dives: 14 - 16
Ultimate Komodo approximate number of dives: 20 - 24

Komodo National Park includes three major islands: Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as numerous smaller islands. The Park includes one of the richest marine environments including coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, seamounts, and semi-enclosed bays. These habitats harbor more than 1,000 species of fish, some 260 species of reef-building coral, and 70 species of sponges. Dugong, sharks, manta rays, at least 14 species of whales, dolphins, and sea turtles also make Komodo National Park their home. As well as being home to the Komodo dragon, the Park provides refuge for many other notable terrestrial species.
