Barca
La Humboldt Explorer e' un dive yacht di 34 metri (111ft) ed e' uno delle migliori barche delle Galapagos in termini di comfort e sicurezza, e' motorizzato con 2 motori diesel e puo' navigare ad una velocita' di 10 nodi ed ha la corrente a 110 volt.
La Humboldt Explorer puo' ospitare un massimo di 16 subacquei in comfort e privacy.
Il ponte principale ha un bellissimo e comodo salone con sofa', aria condizionata, TV, lettore DVD con un vasto assortimento di film, CD musicali e libri. La zona pranzo offre una splendida vista dell'Oceano. La cucina e' vicina al salone.
Il ponte superiore, parzialmente all'ombra, offre sdraie, sedie, una jacuzzi, un bar ed un barbecue.
Il ponte diving e' spazioso e attrezzato con ceste per l'attrezzatura, compressori per la ricarica delle bombole, una tavolo e delle vasche risciacquo per l'attrezzatura e le fotocamere.
La Humboldt Explorer ha 8 comode cabine.
Cabine
Tutte le cabine hanno bagno privato con doccia calda, armadio, televisore ed aria condizionata.

Immersioni
da 3 a 4 immersioni al giorno (2 immersioni all'ultimo giorno) ed una notturna durante la settimana.
Le immersioni iniziano il lunedi' e finiscono il sabato prima di pranzo.

Tutte le immersioni sono condotte da guide professionali e con la barca appoggio.

Itinerari (V.O)
Days aboard the Humboldt Explorer generally involve a 6:30am dive followed by breakfast, a dive at 10:30am, lunch at 12:00pm, and afternoon dives at 2:00pm and 4:30 pm (When there are no long transits). Dinner is served at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Under current National Parks guidelines, night dives and land visits are strictly regulated. The Humboldt Explorer must follow the schedule of islands and land tours as noted below.
Please note: that these itineraries are examples only, and will change depending on local regulation, weather and logistics at the Captain’s discretion. Currently, each week the itinerary includes the same islands. The order of the island visits, however, is dictated by the Galapagos National Park and may vary weekly.
Monday: San Cristobal (1 Dive at Isla Lobos)
Guests fly to the Galapagos Islands from Mainland Ecuador, arriving in the late morning. The dive guides will meet the guests at the airport and escort them to the Humboldt Explorer. Guests will board the vessel after 1:00pm, have lunch and listen to the briefings. After the briefings, the Humboldt Explorer will depart for a short crossing to Isla Lobos for a check out dive and safety briefing. After dinner the vessel will depart to the next scheduled destination.
Tuesday: Punta Carrion (2 Dives)
6:30 and 9:30 dives
Sightings include rays and schools of fish.
Afternoon North Seymour land visit. Walk the path around North Seymour Island to see the large colonies of Blue Footed Boobies and Frigate Birds. Sighting of Sea Lions and Marine Iguanas are also common.
Depart for Northern Islands. (16+ hour transit)
Wednesday: Wolf Island (4 Dives)
6:30, 10:30, 2:00 and 4:30 dives. Possible night dive.
Sightings often include hammerheads, whale sharks, eagle rays, sea lions, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks. Night anchor at Wolf Island.
Thursday: Wolf Island (2 Dives)
6:30 and 9:30 dives
Transit to Darwin Island (2 Dives)
2:00 and 4:30 dives
Sightings often include hammerheads, red-lipped batfish, eagle rays, sea lions, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks.
Friday: Darwin Island (4 Dives)
6:30, 10:30, 2:00 and 4:30 dives
Sightings often include hammerheads, whale sharks (in season) eagle rays, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks.
Transit to Wolf Island
Saturday: Wolf Island (3 Dives)
6:30, 9:00 and 11:00 dives
Sightings often include hammerheads, whale sharks (in season), eagle rays, Galapagos sharks and silky sharks.
Long transit to Cousin’s Rock (20+ hours)
Sunday: Cousin’s Rock (1-2 Dives)
6:30 and 9:30 dives (number of dives dependent on travel time from Wolf Island)
This is a great macro diving with an excellent chance of seeing sea horses, sea lions and eagle rays.
Lunch will be served while transiting to Santa Cruz (3 hours).
Travel by bus to the Santa Cruz Highlands to visit the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Visit the town of Puerto Ayora and the Darwin Centre on your own. Dinner on your own in Puerto Ayora.
Return to the Humboldt Explorer at 8:30pm.
Monday: San Cristobal
Depart the vessel by 9 am. Guests are free to visit the beach in town to see sea lions and marine iguanas in their natural habitat or take a short walk to the Interpretive Centre. Transfer back to the airport for flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.

Isole Galapagos
Periodo : Le crociere si possono effettuare tutto l'anno, ma ci sono sono due stagioni:
- da giugno a novembre la vita e' abbondante e ci sono grande possibilita' d'incontrare gli squali balena.
- da dicembre a maggio e' la stagione degli amori ed anche quella per squali martello e mante.
Visto : Cittadini dell'EU, Australia, Nuova Zelanda, Giappone, Canada e USA non devono richiedere per stare fino a 90 giorno. Residenti da alcuni paesi Africani e dall'Asia devono richiedere il visto. Contattate l'ambasciata o consolato piu' vicino per maggiori informazioni.
Clima : Sebbene si trovino all'equatore il clima non e' tropicale. La stagione piu' fredda e secca si estende da giugno a novembre quando l'aria e' piu' umida ed il vento piu' forte. La stagione piu' calda va da dicembre a maggio. - Durante la stagione secca la temperatura media va dai 21 ai 27 gradi. - Durante la stagione piu' calda la temperatura media va dai 24 ai 32 gradi.
Acqua : Con grandi movimenti di correnti ci sono sempre termoclini. - Durante la stagione secca la temperatura media va dai 16 ai 24 gradi. - Durante la stagione piu' calda la temperatura media va dai 21 ai 28 gradi.
Abbigliamento : Vestiti piu' caldi per i mesi piu' freddi e leggeri per i mesi piu' caldi. Portatevi anche pantaloni lunghi e camicie a maniche lunghe per proteggervi dalle punture dei pappataci (Sandfly).
