Barca
Raja Laut e' stata costruita nel 2005 ed e' lunga 35,5 metri e larga 7, e' una goletta disegnata con linee classiche ed offre crociere private e spedizioni in acque tropicali.
Raja Laut significa "Re dei Mari" nella lingua Malay, quindi un omaggio alla Malesia. Presenti sul ponte inferiore una spaziosa cucina ed un elegante salotto dotato di poltrone e cuscini, televisore, lettore DVD, film e diversi libri e riviste dedicati al mare.
Sul ponte principale c'e' spazio sia al sole che all'ombra di un tendalino, qui si trova un tavolo con sedie dove poter mangiare con la vista del mare, la cucina offre piatti tipici asiatici, ma anche internazionale. Per coloro che vogliono riposarsi o prendere il sole ci sono delle sdraie e lettini
Raja Laut offre diverse attivita' ogni giorno per rendere unica la crociera: immersioni subacquee, pesca, snorkelling, nuoto, sci nautico, wakeboarding, bananone per i piu' piccoli, kayak, escursioni in spiaggia, picnic, barbecue, trekking ed altro ancora.

Raja Laut signature destinations are Myanmar's Mergui Archipelago and Indonesia's Komodo National Park, however the schooner has since 2006 sailed as far West as the Maldives and as far east as Papua, and explored many locations in between.

Signature Destinations
KOMODO NATIONAL PARK
Travel from Bali across the imaginary ‘Wallace line’ to the Komodo National Park and beyond, where the flora and fauna of subtropical Asia make a sudden and dramatic change into those typical of Australasia. Few places in the world can match the cultural and natural diversity you will experience in the islands beyond Bali: towering volcanoes, dr y savannah landscapes, quiet coastal villages, emerald seas, megalithic cultures, tribal rituals, and the infamous Komodo dragons.
The chain of islands east of Bali are known as the Lesser Sunda islands, and it was Burden’s 1932 voyage through this volcanic landscape that inspired the writing of King Kong. Here there is adventure offered all around - from climbing rugged mountains to peer into active volcano craters, or trekking through forests to bathe under beautiful waterfalls; or biking through rural lands to visit remote villages.
However, it is Komodo that is the centre of attention. Komodo National Park, a Unesco World Heritage site, consists of 29 islands ringed with beautiful coral reefs. Home of the giant lizard - the Komodo dragon - the park was declared a World Heritage Site in 1991. The islands in the park boundary are untouched by modern development, and below water Komodo offers some of the world’s best coral reef diving. When not exploring you simply relax in idyllic bays and enjoy pristine beaches.
THE MERGUI ARCHIPELAGO
For almost 50 years following independence, the Merguis Islands have been off limits to the outside world, frozen in time due to the Burmese government’s isolationist policies. As an indirect result the place was handed back to the indigenous Moken, a people of Sea Gypsies who had been living a nomadic sea dwelling lifestyle there for centuries.
The Mergui islands feature very pure white-sand beaches, surrounded by turquoise water and coral reefs, with a diverse range of landscapes and ecologies - jungle-covered mountains, karstic lagoons, rivers and mangroves. In the Mergui, the only human footprints in sight are the ones behind you. Time will slow as you get closer to nature, with every day bringing a succession of simple pleasures, leaving an intense feeling of tranquility.

Arcipelago di Alor
Best time for diving
April to November, as this is when both visibility and weather are at their best, while September is the best time to spot Mola Mola. The currents usually are strongest in October and November, making conditions more challenging. From late December until early March, Alor is usually considered as off-season due to the rainy season.
About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 26°C - 29°C, summer months are between 27°C - 32°C.
Sea : between 25°C - 27°C from March to April & October to November, between 27°C - 30°C from May to September. Thermoclines are common year round, the water can drop at times to 22°C or lower.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit. If you get cold easily, we recommend also bring gloves and a hood, or even a 7 mm full wetsuit.
Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels of diver from beginners to experienced. However, in the open blue, the current can be strong at times, so divers should to be comfortable with their skills. Embarkation / Disembarkation
Alor liveaboard trips are usually from Maumere to Maumere, guests need to fly to Maumere airport (MOF).
However, some liveaboards often combine Alor with other destinations like Komodo, Banda Sea, Raja Ampat. Then you might only need to arrive or depart from Maumere.
Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.
Please note: Immigration officials in Indonesia may ask for proof of onward travel (e.g. a return or onward air ticket).
Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Money Matters
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD.
Rupiah can be purchased from all major banks and exchange outlets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted in major hotels, restaurants & shops.
Drones
There are very few restrictions on the use of drones for photography purposes within Indonesia. Please check Drone laws in Indonesia for details.

Raja Ampat
Periodo : La stagione per le crociere e' tutto l'anno. La migliore stagione e' da dicembre a marzo con la miglior visibilita'. Molte barche evitano Raja Ampat da meta' luglio a meta' settembre a causa della probabilita' di trovare forte vento con onde e pioggia.

Clima : Raja Ampat si trova all'equatore ed ha un clima caldo ed umido. La temperatura dell'aria e' costante con 31 gradi di massima il giorno e 24 gradi la notte, l'umidita' media e' dell'83%.
Acqua : La temperatura dell'acqua e' abbastanza costante e calda tra i 27 e 29 gradi.
Abbigliamento : Vestiti leggeri e che vi protegga dai raggi solari ed una giacca a vento nel caso di pioggia e per la sera.

Voli : La citta' di Sorong in Papua Occidentale e' la porta d'ingresso per Raja Ampat, i voli arrivano da Jakarta, Depansar, Bali e Makassar.

Mare di Banda
Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.
The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.

Air : range between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.
Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.
Diver requirement

The embarkation / disembarkation can be in Ambon (AMQ), Kaimana (KNG), Maumere (MOF), Sorong (SOQ), Waisai (RJM), Saumalaki (SXK) etc. As some of the Banda Sea trip will combine with other destinations like Raja Ampat, Halmahera, Triton Bay. So please ask our agent to know the exact port for your trip.
